Superdeporte implanta una recuperación de desastres a gran escala para más de 150 bases de datos

Su situación

Desde su sede en Quito (Ecuador), Superdeporte Cia Ltda distribuye y vende marcas deportivas como Nike, Puma, Adidas y Reebok en todo Ecuador. Con más de 150 tiendas, es el mayor minorista deportivo de Ecuador y una de las mayores cadenas de artículos deportivos de Sudamérica. Bajo su marca comercial, Marathon Sports, es uno de los principales patrocinadores de las selecciones nacionales de fútbol de Ecuador, Perú y Bolivia.

Uno de los requisitos de Superdeporte para su nueva solución de punto de venta, que iba a instalarse en sus más de 150 tiendas, era que fuera resistente a los desastres. El proveedor de TI de Superdeporte, Renovation IT, necesitaba una arquitectura que garantizara que las tiendas pudieran recuperar sus datos de ventas en caso de desastre.

Situation:

Required their new Point of Sale solution to be installed in their 150+ stores
StandbMP is installed at each store to maintain an exact copy of the POS system's sales database
For a second level of disaster resilience StandbMP is also used to maintain a central copy of each store’s valuable sales database.
StandbMP ensures the integrity of the sales database by continually verifying the standby databases so that successful failover can be performed at any time.

Replication of individual store databases locally and centrally
Replication of 6500+ daily individual store transactions
