In this short video, find out how to perform a Graceful Switchover using Standby™’s Command Line Interface. A Graceful Switchover, also called ‘Role Reversal’ is an important part of what makes Standby™ so great.

This is not something you can easily do with script or block copying tools, and why being ‘database aware’ is such a valuable feature. We start off with the command to show the archive log gap. The standby database becomes the primary database and the primary database becomes the standby database. It is a quick video but you'll see how easy it is test your Disaster Recovery (DR) systems and prove that your standby database is ready at a moment’s notice.
