Yesss is the UK’s fastest growing electrical wholesaler. Since opening in 2012, the company has grown to 100+ branches in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Their strategy is to deliver superior customer service by hiring knowledgeable staff and supporting them with a modern technology platform. The in-house developed central management system, powered by an Oracle database, provides product information and advanced reporting and data analytics functions to internal and external users.

Yesss requires the central management system to provide accurate data for users when they need it.
This means the production database must be available even in the event of a failure at their primary site. Furthermore, usage of the primary database needs to be managed to not impact the online transaction systems as there is the potential for the intensive access requirements of mobile users and reporting systems to impact the system’s performance.
