Today’s video blog is about understanding the difference between Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
In the event of a disaster, how much time do you have before your system has to be back up and running for people using it? This is your RTO.
Similarly, RPO is how much data, in terms of time, you are willing to lose when a disaster occurs.
The key is to have a DR plan in place for when your data is at risk and know what your company’s RTO and RPO are. Then your team can work towards meeting those requirements.
